am pleased to announce that AS-OISOU with the collaboration of Peinture French and Le SportingClub is holding its first tournament of Bike Polo!
AS-OISOU is an humanitarian organisation working for development assistance in the field of education, construction, renovation and reforestation. All projects take place in Togo, West Africa.
"POLO 4 Africa" aims to raise funds for AS-OISOU and especially to see the great polo!
The tournament will take place on land "dirt", a concept bike polo "in Africa".
30m x 15m field.
A snack bar will be available, as well as the stand-AS OISOU communicating through these development projects in Togo.
Begins Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 12am (French time!) Until Sunday, April 10th at 12am by sending e-mail to : email@example.com
Specify: player names, team, telephones, mail, and home town, and of cours housing demand.
Registration fees are 20 euros per team, including 5 euros will be donated directly to the AS-OISOU, payment is via paypal to the email address firstname.lastname@example.org
16 teams, Dresden system of 3 matches of 10 minutes per team, then the top 8 teams qualify for single elimination tournament. Additional matches may be implemented if equalities never appeared at the 8th place.
We will do our very best to stay with players or give you some addresses of hostels, hotels etc.. ... Couchsurfing is also a good solution in paris.
Rules and Safety:
They are those of the Hardcourt bike polo, perhaps with changes regards the type of terrain, this being the first, we take into account all your comments and suggestions.
The helmet is MANDATORY, and gloves highly recommended because of the terrain.
Welcoming players in the afternoon or evening.
We will organize a "Knife Fight ghetto polo," probably to the small court of Stalingrad, a prize will be awarded to the winner!
8.30: rdv on TEP Charlemagne for registration.
9 am: Begining of Tournament
12: initiation and demonstration of Bike Polo on the basketball court.
17h: End of the tournament and award ceremony!
18h: all players must leave the field ... but we will find a warm place to celebrate it with dignity!
