Oh louisville, how you taunt me to return.

I'm so proud of you i could cry.
Can i get in on this minor?
I'm coming by myself,

We are bumping this up to 8 teams and holding a draft because why not? Your friendly local louisville captains are going to be:
Matt Bailey
Jimmy Flaherty
Michael McCollum
Zachary Roberts
Alec Grubola
Drew Combs
TJ Burgin
and myself.

Because the post office is having a rough time recently, we're going to help them out. There are 24 open spots for this tournament. Those spots will be filled by the 24 postcards that Louisville polo deems awesome. So go buy some stamps and go crazy. Postcards can be mailed to 1 of 2 locations:

i hate the post office and support free enterprise so i'd like to fedex my submission.

FedEx or ups is acceptable!!

All right, just bought plane tickets. Shopping for the biggest, baddest post card ever. It will not get there on a saturday.

Start with polo, end with derby. 2 weeks of decadence and debauchery, hold the decadence.

this itinerary is what's known as "doing it right." Also, 4/20 is Thunder Over Louisville, the biggest fireworks show in the country and the kickoff for the Derby Festival. We should be able to see a lot of it from the bar, and the preceding air show will be going on all day.

Say what you will about Hunter S Thompson, but he was a great trip planner.

I see what you did there.

Any locals care to suggest the best of the following.. (for out of towners to visit while there)

BBQ?
Brewpub and/or beer bar?
Doughnuts?
Bike shop?
Bourbon distillery that's nearby?
Other stuff?

*also is Thunder Over Louisville worth checking out? sounds like a pretty righteous 4/20 celebration to me.

BBQ: Smoketown, USA or River Road BBQ
Brewpub and/or beer bar? breweries: Against the Grain, BBC, Cumberland Brews. Beer bars: Holy Grale, Sergio's
Doughnuts? Nord's
Bike shop? On Your Left Cycles
Bourbon distillery that's nearby? Pretty much all of them are within 2 hours of Louisville
Other stuff? Louisville Slugger Museum if you're into baseball. We have several parks designed by the guy who designed Central Park so they are huge and fun to ride through.

Thunder over Louisville is totally worth checking out if you haven't seen it before.

We only have 2 postcards so far, get on it people!

Don't forget a scenic walk on the bridge to nowhere!

yeah, you can also check out our one sided bridge and throw stuff at indiana. where's your postcard at sprinks?

Fucking weddings are ruining spring polo.

any idea on the start times?
i've only been playing polo since october, have no 2v2 or bench experience (in fact no tourney experience at all) so i wasn't really planning on playing, but would love to come party and check out your great city.

someone mentioned Hunter Thompson.. his childhood home is not far from the bar.
2437 Ransdell Avenue

2pm on saturday, probably either 10am or noon on sunday.

Hey, slot open for one from the Northwesternmost reaches of continental America? I got a score to settle with Drew Combs. My post card might be late, ships tomorrow.

PS fuck you drew.

pps... AMERICA

Yeah for sure, we are open to pretty much whoever wants to show up!

one week till we push the deadline back for registration.

My postcard is still in the works, but I'm hoping I can get it to you before 3/10. Sometimes awesome stuff just needs a second to come together

we're just going to do a schoolyard style draft the day of, so send us postcards till april. Or just tell us you're coming, but you'll miss the chance of winning the prize for best postcard.

just found my post card sitting on the counter. was not mailed. =(

we gave up long ago on even thinking people would adhere to the deadline. just mail it anyways, get here for the shit show.

YES!

In the teaser video, I couldn't see any goals. What do you guys use for goals?

Corner goals.

Milk Crates still?

Awful, at best.

nah, we widened them a tiny bit and put a piece of tin in as a net so it makes a big old racket when someone scores.

If at all possible we would highly recommend coming into town the night of Friday the 19th. Saturday's fireworks show is going to completely fuck traffic in pretty much every single direction. If not possible I would advise adding at least an hour onto your planned travel time. There are still plenty of spots open.

watch your language. this is a family friendly sport.

keeping polo sinful.

you can't tell me what to do! You're not my real dad!

Will you name my fake team Vince's Taint Rash?

So somebody who works their ass for you, and your friends, politely explains why he doesn't want to propagate a joke about rape that you make that's destined for his website, and so he becomes a target of your dumb banter in unrelated threads? You might consider shutting the fuck up.

very true. friendly jabs aside, no need to stir the pot guys.

keeping polo sinful.

A joke in poor taste and I apologize. Sorry, thanks for the hard work.

you might want to consider worrying about things that actually matter in life. you can't fix stupid, so stop telling us what to do.

talk shit and burn bridges

I will last minute buy a plane ticket and tell my job to fire me or find someone to work, if we can round up Pistol(or will) and play Bellintucky.

Schedule for saturday:
1:30- Meet at bar for draft
2:00- first game of swiss rounds
Break for fireworks show
2:00am-keep partying at an alternate location
I doubt swiss is going to take 12 hours, so we can start the double elim bracket saturday night and finish on sunday, or we can do other stuff.

Sunday:
10:00- Begin/finish double elim bracket.

We'll be playing pickup friday night, can't wait to see everybody!
