Fixation.. A good polo candidate?

http://images.craigslist.org/3K13J83Ha5Q45K95Hccaicddc2538a2fe1df1.jpg

found this while browsing craigslist for $200. Would this make a good polo frame? I haven't really played polo in about a year due to work and other obligations that conflicted with polo time and I am starting to get back into it.. my current frame is a cayne uno (cheap fixed/ss frame) and doesn't allow me to put larger tires on it or any type of brake other than a caliper.

any advise would be helpful. Thanks.

here is the image i tried to link in the OP

Just to clarify that brand of frame is Fetish Cycles, not the more popular Milwaukee based Fyxation company we're accustomed to that makes tires and bike components. Fyxation is making frames not, but that isn't one of them.

I owned this frame and it is a beaut, I rode this with double disc brakes for a good bit. it's a nifty frame, beautiful to the eye, but I think it might be a little wide in terms of the five hole. still, offer them less if it is just the frame, since you will need the funds to buy all the stuff that will really make it work. .edit. Also, the beautiful thing about this frame is it can double as a singlespeed or a geared bike since the derailleur hanger exists on these dropouts.

For a bit more you could go custom and get a marino with fork?

If you go with Marino you could also have janky construction, horrible looking welds and a sweet new feature where the fork separates to activate the riders dental plan.

The fetish frame seems to be an upgrade to your current set up. I'd go with it and save your coin for a proper custom. See Ground Up designs, Rustbelt, or Fleetvelo. Just my two.

That will never work.

Huh, really? I thought the general consensus was, that they are great for the $$$ they cost?

Ill just leave this here.

he's right about the dental insurance being a necessary plan with the bike.

Ow.. thats scary

"great for the $$$ they cost" is not the same as "great".

I have a cross fork that will fit this frame..
I guess the biggest issue for me is how big the 5-hole may end up being

looking at these 2 using the same frame
http://leagueofbikepolo.com/bike/dus/the-fister
http://leagueofbikepolo.com/bike/wi-austin/polo-fetish

both look to have a rather large 5-hole.. especially the 2nd one.

Got it.. Frame and wheelset for $260.. In process of looking for a mtn bike straight fork.

What kind of stem would one recommend for this frame?
