Like the Care Bears said, "sharing (bicycles, F/OSS, alcohol and Josh's Mom...) is caring"
What time do you guys start playing on Thursdays? Still at Mosswood?
i am in cupertino for work stuff and wanted to check out sunday polo over on this side of the country. i've played in michigan chicago an london, but i don't have a bike with me.
if you play sunday after noons then i thought i would take the train up and hang out.
I was looking in to the San Fran polo but it doesn't look like they play on the weekends.
Normally SF only plays grass on Sunday, but this weekend we are having a full-on polo BBQ. We will be at Youngblood Park having a mini bench minor and a ton of pickup. Most likely the slugs of Oakland will attend. come on over and we will make sure you play.
BRINGING THE RUCKUS
I'm going to be in Oakland for a few days in August and hope I get to play. Do you have a beginners' night? I played for about a year, but haven't played since October 2010 because I'm in Cuba. (I mean to introduce it here as soon as I can get my son bring to come again without a cast on his arm, and bring more mallets).
I assume the people I'll be staying with have bikes, but they might not be suitable for polo. Do you have loaners?
Thanks a lot.
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

Im sure we can work something out with a bike. Let us know when you plan to come and we can figure it out. No beginners night in Oakland but there is in SF which is a 20 min BART (transit) ride. We play on Tuesdays and Sundays in Oakland and Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat in SF.
Here's my email firstname.lastname@example.org, we also have a sf polo email list if you are interested in signing up.
Or feel free to call me when you are here (916) 821-8108
Looks like no polo in Oakland for me, sigh. I had two cancelled flights on consecutive days and got here a day late, and with a sprained ankle. :-(
Thanks so much, Jamie, and Tim too, for your welcoming attitude. I didn't see anyone from Oakland in Calgary but met Machine - if your ears were burning on Saturday it was because of the nice things he was saying about you.
See you next summer, I hope!
El Presidente!! Machine is the best! Maybe we will see you in SF for Ball Wackers this year?
'fraid not. I'm leaving this Saturday. I hope to be back in Oakland next August for a couple of weeks. See you then!
Thanks, Jamie! See you in August (unless you're in Calgary @ NAHBPC).
PS I thought my original msg was in an e-mail form, not for posting on the wall. Is there an e-mail address for the club? thx.
Are there any actual Oak trees in Oakland?
I will be in the bay from Salt Lake this week, please confirm where when you play, as i came there once 6 months ago at place-time posted, but found no one. stefano email@example.com
