My cup runeth over with blood and not wine
If you haven't heard yet, I will be stepping down as Cascadia Regional Rep, and Board member. My plan is to use the month of January to find my replacement. Please start thinking about this role and how it will affect you and your city now. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
-January 1st to midnight Jan 7th to put in your name as a Candidate. Please post your name, and short campaign speech IN THE THREAD ON THE CASCADIA PAGE.
-January 8th to midnight Jan 22nd City Reps talk to your cities and VOTE by emailing me your choice (this is only for one spot)
*** CITY REP VOTES MUST BE TURNED IN BY 1/22/2/12 TO COUNT***
-Shannon and Cecily will speak with the new Regional Rep and decide among the 3 of them who will be the new Cascadia Board member.
Please spread the word to anyone you think needs to know about this, I want this turnover to be smooth and soon before the season get to heavily upon us.
Thank you all for your trust and confidence these past few months,
How many players do you have in Kelowna?
hi i'm not Pierre but to answer your question we have nine players that are fond enough of the game to have built polo bikes, and 6 others pop by occassionally/rarely -- cool numbers if dedication/injuries weren't so rotational. We've actually only had three days of 3-on-3 since we moved here last april. Most days Pierre and I play 1-on-1, and once a week we can swing some 2-on-2-ish. It's coming along slowly, but it's coming.
Hey, Might be moving to Nelson but there is very little polo out there. Couple Questions,
You guys still playing on the Reg in Kelowna? Are you guys able to play through the winter?
I love Skiing but I also love polo... Not a good combo for Neslon.
Hey, I'm new to town, and sort of new to bike polo - when do you folks play?
And a couple of us will try to keep this up to date: https://twitter.com/OgoPolo
sorry for all the edits.
We've been playing at Raymer Elementary on Raymer and Richter. Right now our only regular play day is Fridays, 6PM.
If you're into the facebook thing, you can join the OgoPolo group -- sometimes people propose play times on there.
Nice...in East Van there are 5 players from Penticton. We're talking about having a tournament in the Pen next year.
That would be awesome! I grew up there! I'll be in New Zealand though watching from afar.
Little town like Kelo is difficult to have people now, they don't know that polo rule...but the few people who play are showing good skills. Definitelly up for tourney in Pen next year, let me know if I can help...
This beast was originaly created by the Mallets of Mayhem but needed a deep lake to escape from time to time...catch it if you can and if you dare, you'll get bite!!!
