Bluegrass State Games Invitational Polo Tournament in Lexington
As part of Kentucky's annual Bluegrass State Games, Lexington has managed to get hardcourt bike polo added as an official sport this year. To our knowledge, only Lexington and Louisville have squads within the state. Although the BGSG is traditionally open only to those athletes residing in the state of Kentucky, they are allowing us to open this event up to those players living in the states that border Kentucky (Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Virgina and West Virginia), in order to expand the competition. If you live in those states and would like to make the drive down for a fun day of polo, you are certainly welcome. I would love to have this tourney open to anyone, but since this organization is fitting the bill and calling the shots, we have to honor their requests to keep it limited.
Registration will be $30 per team if you register IN ADVANCE, but if you wait to register the day-of, the fee goes up to $45. So save that cash for gas money and register in advance!
The online registration is pretty standard stuff, but it may be worded kind of strange. Basically, one person acts as "captain" of the team and is responsible for registering and paying the fee for all three players. At this time there is no way to advance register as an individual, but if you show up the day of, I'm sure we can place you with a team.
