Bike Film Festival 2009 - Oakland Polo Tourney
So on July 19th the so-called "Oakland" Bicycle Film Fest2009
is being held (inexplicably) on the small island nation of Alameda.
It will be a day of bike polo followed by films about bikes and
people who ride them, so you should come out early and stay for all of it.
There will be a BIKE POLO TOURNAMENT held at
San Antonio Park in East Oakland, on Foothill at 20th Ave.
Form a team of 3 now - or you can try to join up with
other mercenaries the morning of... Show up at 11 am to enter!

The tournament will go till about 4 pm. Entry is $15
per team ($5 per player). Loaner mallets
will be available, and beginners are encouraged to
throw in (but you should bring your own bike).
Afterward, at 4pm we'll be doing a group ride to the
BFF showing in Alameda, come with us and take the bridge
rather than the Posey tube (it will save you brain cells).
